“Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations as Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth as Your possession.” — Psalm 2:8

What if we stopped simply talking about the nations and started praying for them?

What if we began standing in the gap for people who may never hear the Gospel unless someone first prays?

The 30-Day Intercession Guide for the Nations and Muslim Communities was created as an invitation to do exactly that—to intentionally seek God for salvation, revival, transformation, and the advance of the Gospel among nations and communities around the world.

A Call to Stand in the Gap

Intercession is more than making requests. It is choosing to stand before God on behalf of others.

Throughout Scripture, we see God's people praying for nations, cities, leaders, families, and people who desperately needed to encounter Him.

Jesus commanded His followers to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). Before we go, however, we can pray. And even when we cannot physically go, we can still stand in the gap.

There are millions of people around the world who have never personally encountered the message of Jesus Christ. Among them are countless people living within Muslim communities.

This guide is designed to help Christians approach these communities not with hatred, fear, or hostility, but with a heart of love, compassion, truth, and intercession.

Praying for Muslim Communities With the Heart of Christ

Prayer should never be motivated by hatred toward people.

Every person is created in the image of God and has eternal value.

When we pray for Muslim communities, we can ask God to reveal Himself to individuals, families, communities, and nations. We can pray that people would encounter the love of Christ, discover the truth of the Gospel, receive salvation, and become disciples who carry the Gospel to others.

We can pray for:

  • Salvation — that people would encounter Jesus Christ.
  • Revelation — that God would reveal His truth and draw hearts toward Him.
  • Dreams and visions — that God would use every means He chooses to reach those seeking Him.
  • Divine encounters — that believers and seekers would cross paths according to God's purposes.
  • Protection for Christians — especially those faithfully sharing their faith in difficult circumstances.
  • Boldness for missionaries and evangelists — that they would proclaim the Gospel with courage and wisdom.
  • Peace within communities — that violence, hatred, oppression, and division would give way to peace.
  • Healing and restoration — for families and individuals who have experienced trauma or suffering.
  • Open doors for the Gospel — that opportunities to share Christ would increase.
  • Discipleship and multiplication — that new believers would grow strong in their faith and make disciples.
  • Revival — that entire communities would experience a genuine spiritual awakening.

Thirty Days of Intentional Prayer

This is not intended to be a book that simply sits on a shelf.

It is a 30-day invitation to pray.

Each day provides an opportunity to focus your prayers on the nations and on Muslim communities, asking God to move in ways only He can.

You may choose to pray individually, with your family, with your church, or with a group of intercessors.

Imagine what could happen if Christians across the world began praying consistently for the salvation of people who have never heard the Gospel.

One prayer may seem small.

But God is not limited by the size of our prayer.

Pray Beyond What You Can See

Intercession requires faith.

We may pray for someone we will never meet.

We may pray for a nation we may never visit.

We may pray for a family whose names we don't know.

We may never see the answer with our own eyes.

But God sees.

He knows every person, every family, every community, and every nation.

Psalm 2:8 reminds us of the enormous scope of God's heart:

“Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations as Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth as Your possession.”

The nations belong to God.

Our responsibility is to faithfully stand before Him and ask.

A Prayer for the Nations

Father,

We come before You with a heart for the nations.

We ask You to reveal Yourself to people throughout the world who are searching for truth. Draw hearts toward You and open spiritual eyes to see the beauty and truth of Jesus Christ.

We pray especially for Muslim communities around the world.

Bring salvation, healing, peace, and transformation.

Give dreams, visions, divine encounters, and opportunities for people to hear and understand the Gospel. Strengthen Christians who are serving faithfully among these communities. Give missionaries, evangelists, pastors, and every believer wisdom, courage, compassion, and discernment.

Protect those who face persecution or opposition because of their faith.

Raise up disciples who will boldly and lovingly proclaim Christ.

Break down walls of fear, hatred, misunderstanding, and division. Replace them with truth, peace, forgiveness, and love.

Let revival begin in hearts and spread through families, communities, cities, and nations.

Lord, give us the nations.

Teach us to pray until we see Your kingdom advance and Your name glorified throughout the earth.

In Jesus' name,
Amen.

Will You Stand in the Gap?

The nations need prayer.

Families need prayer.

Missionaries need prayer.

People searching for truth need prayer.

And the Church needs intercessors willing to stand in the gap.

You don't have to travel across the world to participate in God's mission to the nations.

You can begin today—on your knees.

For the next 30 days, make a commitment to intentionally pray for the nations and Muslim communities.

Pray with faith.

Pray with compassion.

Pray with boldness.

Pray with perseverance.

And above all, pray with the heart of Christ.

30 Days. One Prayer at a Time. The Nations Are Worth Praying For.
